Mr. Dave Cockburn, a senior lecturer in Games Art and Design currently attached to the Teeside University, UK recently came down to share his experience with our students. In his talk entitled ‘Great Games require Great Art’, Dave shares with us his work experience as well as the courses that Teeside University is offering.
Dave Cockburn has produced, and continues to produce, work ranging from hand drawn sprites for early point and click adventures to photorealistic character creation for the critically acclaimed “Driver” series. Dave originally trained as a fine artist, which has been an important influence on how he works. His current research is based on the creation of photo realistic characters using Mudbox and the implementation of these assets into current game engines.
